UV-VIS-NIR 200-2500nm Spectral Imaging Systems

At spectral imaging, imaging spectroscopy or spectroscopy with local resolution, 2D information provided by the classical spectrometer will be extended to the third dimension, the location. These systems are, e.g., suitable for exactly measuring the colour of surfaces or for acquiring material specific information of a recorded scene. An imaging spectrometer system simultaneously gives spectral and local information of an illuminated or luminescent surface. On a surface sensor, spectrometer optics will visualize the spectrum in the one dimension and the local image of a line in the other dimension.

In simplified terms, this products are working like line scan cameras based on a complete spectrum for each image point So, relevant and required information (e.g. the CIE Coordinates at colour measurement acc. to DIN 5033 or a material classifier at detection of plastics or ingredients of food etc.) will be acquired on-line in the data processing chain, which is integrated in the camera and realized with FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). The camera is equipped with a GigE Vision interface.
